Common Support Topics

Using the Weighted Grade Calculator

The weighted grade calculator allows you to calculate your overall grade based on the weight (percentage) of each assignment or category. Enter each assignment, its grade, and its weight, and the calculator will determine your overall grade.

For example, if your course has exams worth 40%, assignments worth 30%, and a project worth 30%, you would enter each component with its corresponding grade and weight.

Calculating Your GPA

To calculate your GPA, enter each course, its credit hours, and the grade you received. The calculator will convert letter grades to grade points based on the standard 4.0 scale (or your custom scale if selected) and calculate your GPA.

Remember that different institutions may use different GPA scales or have specific policies for calculating GPA. Always verify with your institution's academic policies.

Determining Your Final Exam Target

The final exam target calculator helps you determine what grade you need on your final exam to achieve your desired overall grade in a course. Enter your current grade, the weight of the final exam, and your desired overall grade. The calculator will determine what score you need to achieve on the final exam.

For example, if you currently have an 85% in a course, the final exam is worth 30% of your grade, and you want to achieve at least a 90% overall, the calculator will tell you what minimum score you need on the final.
